You create one test case and test plan for both automation
testing and manual testing. For automation testing you can
import the test cases and test plans into automation tools
you are using and execute them.

A project or release can be tested both manually and automated.
A test plan will describe how we are going to test.
What types of testing we are going to do. How much are we
automating etc
