Answer / manthesh.patil
neutral is one which it is used for return path in a closed
circuit ,without neutral it is impossible to complete the
circuit and where as earth is for safety purpose ,whenever
heavy current or short ckt flows to the ckt, that current
will directly flow into the earth and whenever the live wire
is touching the body of the equipment,if earth point is
connected we don't get shocks that current will flow to the
earth so earthing is used for safety purposes

neutral is for return path whereas ground is used for
protection system it having less resistance.. from
lightings will placed to ground...

neutral is only zero volt.
earth is zero volt as well as used to earth short circuit
current.

Answer / vijaykumarht
neutral is a closed circuit and zero path but earth is a
alternate path which can be used for safety. The earth is
not a neutral and vice versa.

Answer / ashok
neutral is used for the protection of power system by the lightening. earth is used for protection by over voltage in transmission line because of voltage going to the earth.

Neutral is an earthed point near the transformer.Earth wire
is zero potential connected to earth near building and body
of the equipment.
So both are same.
