The chart of accounts contains the list of GL accounts.
In simple words, it may be defined as a list of GL accounts
used for external(Tax authorities etc.) and interal(
management level etc.) purposes.

Chart of accounts controls the structure of gl accounts. In
maintains Length of GL and maintainance language in
Controlling integration advisable to use manual. COA is a 4
digit code. There is a check box called block while crating
COA, if we select that we cannot extend GL accouts (Which
are already created in one co.code) from one co.code to
another co.code. But we can post the transactions in GL ac
(Which are crated before blocking)

chart of accounts means list of general ledgers .in chart
accounts we maintain the length of gl accounts,language in
which all gl accounts have description,we can maintain group
chart of accounts for consolidation of all ur company
company codes ,then if we want to block the chart of
accounts we can block here .due to block we cant create gls
under this chart of accounts
