Answer / swaroop
U mean builds right.
In a Project u have many Release versions.
For every version we have builds,so it depends upon
Functional Specifications needed for that release. If bugs
are found in the first build while testing they will be
fixed in the next build. So this continues till the bugs are
fixed to match with the specifications to be fulfilled for
that release. So it may depend on the bugs fixed. The build
count may be 5 or 6 or 10 based on the impact of the bugs.

You mean Build right? Build will be planed in the planning
phase itself.Depends on the module of the project, they will
decide the internal release and ITT release dates, while
they are designing a plan itself.
It may some time differ depends on the functionality that we
are handling and critical or high severity of the bugs are
not fixed.

As per my knowledge,
here the number of builds are not important.whenver the appication or product is defect free in the first build then we are not waiting for the next build.that means it depends on the defects in the applicaion to be tested.
