SAP DB (MaxDB and HANA) supports several interfaces for data access, communication, and integration. Here are some of the commonly used interfaces:
1) ODBC (Open Database Connectivity): This is a standard API for accessing various types of databases from different programming languages. SAP DB provides an ODBC driver to support this interface.
2) JDBC (Java Database Connectivity): Similar to ODBC, JDBC allows Java applications to interact with relational databases using the Java programming language. SAP DB offers a JDBC driver as well.
3) ADO.NET: This is Microsoft's implementation of data access for .NET languages such as C# and VB.NET. SAP provides an ADO.NET provider to enable interaction with SAP DB using these languages.
4) ABAP Database Connectivity (DBC): The DBC interface allows ABAP programs in SAP ERP or SAP NetWeaver to communicate with other databases, including SAP DB.
