Extractors in SAP BI are data extraction programs that transfer data from operational systems to the InfoCubes or other Data Stores. They are responsible for reading data from the source system, converting it into a format compatible with the target system, and writing it into the BW repository.nnThere are two types of extractors: Standard Extractors (SEs) and ABAP Extractors (AEs). SEs are pre-delivered programs for specific SAP modules and third-party systems, while AEs are user-defined programs written in ABAP for custom or non-standard data sources.
