has 2 Main Parts
1. Functional Testing - it involves the all the
Methodologies like BVA, EqP and all to verify the
Functionalities of system.
2. Non-Functional Testing - this is when we do the Load ,

Answer / mohit tyagi
as per my views i think functional testing is a part of
black box testing.
in black box testing we perform two types testing
1)Functional Testing
2)Non Functional Testing
Functional Testing is performed to check functionalities of
a system(e.g. login, searching, inserting data etc.)
Non-Functional Testing is performed to check Non-functional
Requirements of the system(e.g. Stress, load,
usability,installation, configuration testing etc.)
so in functional testing we just test functionalities of a
system whether in black box testing we check both functional
as well as non-functional requirements of a system.
pls correct me if i m wrong.

Hi Refina,
it is a good question. Black box testing isconducted
in the external part of the application or check the
funtionality of the application. So both the functional and
blackbox testing are same.

hi every one,
Functional testing means checking the particular
funtionality heavly with the help of giving suitable inputs.
