V.c.b and a.c.b difference..

VCB means Vacuum Circuit Breaker and it mainly used in High Voltage switch-gear(Up to 33 Kv).
ACB means Air Circuit Breaker and it mainly used in Low Voltage switch-gear.

VCB is used where system voltage is high as 11 kv , 33 kv but current value is low

while ACB is used where system voltage is low but current value is high , ACB comes upto current value of 2000 amps

vaccum quench the arc,long life
ACB-air circuit breaker,660v,10000A
large size,less life and more maintenance compared to VCB.electronically or microprocessor controlled...

boththe above CB's use charging spring to open the breaker
