What is the difference between pt100, pt500 and pt1000 RTDs?
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
This number 100,500,1000 refers to the reference resistance of the Rtd.meaning pt 100 means at 0 degree temp it gives 100 ohm resistance ,similarly pt 500 gives, 500 ohm resistance at 0 degree.but not questions arrise why we go for higher resistance and the ans is simple for good sensitivity and accuracy.

what is the responsibility of an instrument commissioning supervisor
1)unmovable objects have frequency or not?if that object have frequency, how do we measure and transmit? 2)how do u measure the continuity without multimeter? 3)we put 24volt dc supply in railway track how many distance it is traveled without voltage drop?
capillary type tranmitter using remote seals and capillary tubes filled with liquid of known of known density so if you wanna callibrate it just close block valve just before capilary @ high side & connect druck apply it's calibrated range pressure as normal calibration ensure low side block valve must be closed & if you asking commissioning so this is not a DP type pressure tx so simple if you wanna put in servie this tx just open high side block valve & than low side block same way i do it but still transmitter showing -13 ma.just tell me what i want to do ?
what do you mean by smart instruments ? define ? give an example?
