1.Unbalanced load condition (3 phase system ) ciculating current go to earth.
2.if it short circuit occur, fault current easily go to earth within fraction of second. So our connectedload safer side.

Answer 1 + If neutral is earthed (Specially in transformer) Voltage on load side is not floating, so we getting balance voltage.

Actually we maintained Balanced load. in that time neutral will flow 0 amps. we will not maintain unbalanced loads the differential current will flow to neutral. If it is not neutral to be earthed. the 3 phase circuit will disturb the differential voltages will pass. So Neutral to be earthed its very very Important.
