What is the permissible limit of shaft voltage for 6.6 KV motors ? Why? Is there any standard is available?
A powerplant has 8 gensets operating in grid parallel mode. In one genset sometimes there is pf variation and kvar variation. The plant operates in pf mode. When this variation is onbserved the load is stable, voltage is also stable, freq and genset speed is also stable. How will you check the functioning of pf card. What shall be the ideal output vdc of the pfc, from there it is input to AVR?

1 no. 22 kV feeder is taken from state electricity board. 350 MVA is the S.C. MVA. now i am feeding this feeder to HT Panel having 2 outgoings which further supply to 2 Transformers. Can u explain : what is supply for train (whether a,c or d.c ).I know that supply is 25000v a.c .But there is rumour that supply is D.C. Any one can explain if there is any harm from humming noise heard from air circuit breaker : we have 415 switch board having two incomers from transformers 3.3KV/415V , when bus coupler closed, and open one ACB incomer to work in one of the transformers, the current started hunting around 50 Amps, and heard humming noise from the air circuit breaker, although the load current was only 1200 amps while the ACB capacity is 2500 Amps, and the transformer 1600 KVA. The same didn't happen when taken the other transformer offline. Why this humming noise and current fluctuation? is there any implication or danger, bearing in mind that we just returned everything back to normal and stopped the maintenance of the transformer. Shall we go ahead and ignore this noise?
what happen if the load connected to the induction motor is taken away? the same question for synchoronous generator in synch i think that the the exitation voltage will appear on the terminal only if so plz answer me
