generally a high voltage is transmitted to incure the losses, so as to reach the desired voltege at the end consumer. To obtain these high voltages we prefer transformers during the trasmission of power instead of generating a high voltage.
generally it is not preferred to generate because when we prefer a 11KV generation we require a huge amount of design and large cost is preferred instead of it we can prefer a method to obtain a high voltage is by using transformer.
