the total iron closs in a transformer core at normal flux density was measured at 25hz and 5ohz and was found to be 250w and 800w respectively.the hysteresis loss at 50hz would be................?????

the total iron closs in a transformer core at normal flux density was measured at 25hz and 5ohz and ..

Answer / utkarsh agarwal

according to the data flux density is constant.
Pe1=f1^2 Ph1=f1
Pe2=f2^2 Ph2=f2

takinf f1=25hz
f2=50 hz
Pe1/Pe2=1/4
Ph1/Ph2=1/2

now iron loss Pi=Ph1+Pe1
Therefoe
1. ph1 + pe1=250
2. 2ph1+ 4pe1=800
solving we get ph2= 200w

P.S. : "=" is meant to be proportiaonality sign in first 3 lines
