VFD/ gear box is mandatory as 1000 rpm can not be the
synchronous speed with supply at 60Hz.

DEAR ALL I have motors ( 10 units )each one is 90kw 380V 50 HZ 1000rpm but new local pwer is 220..

Answer / anjireddy boduggam

It is mandatory to install two devices:- 1) one device for
voltage adjustment 380v/220v 2)second device for HZ
Converter from 50hz/60hz, but as per technical knowledge
better to change them to suitable motors for 380 Volts / 50
HZ as the cost of Transformers (9nos.) and frequency
converters(50 HZ./60 HZ.) is more than the requirement.

DEAR ALL I have motors ( 10 units )each one is 90kw 380V 50 HZ 1000rpm but new local pwer is 220..

Answer / kj

The existing motors cannot be used. Voltage and frequency
is wrong.
The second issue is the speed - 1000 rpm uses a 6 pole
motor at 50Hz. 6 pole at 60Hz is 1200 rpm and 8 pole is 900
rpm.
You will need to change the voltage and frequency.
If the motors are belt drive changing the ratio of the
pulleys will fix the problem of speed.
