extremely urgent please, why a fuse is used before
voltmeter but not with a ammeter connected to a CT(current
transformer),thanks in anticipation.

Answer / npcil
Because Ameter is cnnected is series with line while
voltmeter is connected across the phase & neutral. if any
fault/short circuit occured in line the fuse will cut and
save the voltmeter and cercuit.

look man ... In c.t load is
connected to the primary
winding and ammeter is
connected to secondary
winding hence there no fuse
in c.t .... Similary there no fuse
in potential transformer as
the voltmeter is connected on
secondary side with closed
loop of secondary and
winding .... P.t is step down
transformer hence in this also
no fuse is used .... Its was a
trick question to measure

Answer / the electrical genius
In case of C.T., if higher value of current will flow, the C.T. core will saturate and so not high current will flow in its secondary. Thus, no use of fuse in this case.
While in case of voltmeter, the resistance of voltmeter is very very high and it limits the current flowing through it in the range of mA. So use of fuse in that case is also not needed !

Because during fault condition high transient voltage will occur thia voltage can damage voltmeter that is why we connect fuse across it, while in case of CT metering CT are made up of special core that can get saturated if voltage across its primary is beyond its limit, so no more current will flow during this condition, so there is no need to connect fuse with CT.

In a 3 phase system a neutral exists so that any unbalanced currents can flow through it towards earth.... but a phase demands a particular current as per the load attached to it....then where does the extra current come from the goes in the neutral??....I mean in an unbalanced system a phase demands a current as per its load attached....then where does the unbalanced current come from??
