working of a diesel generator...

Answer / raja sekhar

firstly the input is converted in to mechanical energy this
done by the turbine in the generator this was connected to
rotating conductor and around that there should be the
magnetic field and the magnets should be in stationary the
rotating conductor make coupling with the magnets and the
mechanical energy converted in to electrical energy this is
the working of generator.

working of a diesel generator...

Answer / ramanharikrishnan

1.Actually the generator is nothing but, combining of
Alternator and Primemover(Mechnically operated to operate
Alternator).
2.Diesel will use as fuel to operate the primemover.
3.Commenly everybody knows the generator is converting
mechanical enrgy to electrical energy(through Alternator).

working of a diesel generator...

Answer / vijayanand bhuvad

Diesel Generator (D.G.) is the combination of Diesel Engine
& Alternator.
1. Engine works as a primover of alternator .Engine &
Alternator shafts are couplled. Thus mechanical energy
generated by diesel engine is converted in to Electrical
Energy using Alternator as Ferads 2nd Law of
Electromagnetic Induction.
2. Engine speed is set as per Alternator synchronous speed
by consedaring required frequency of AC supply.
3. For frequency control Governer, Governer control
card,Solid State potentiometer is used due to which Engine
speed is maintained.

1A. Generaly fixed armature & rotating field arrengement is
used to avoide sparking on sleepring.
2A. Field pols (as per Synchronous speed-:
P=120F/N),Exciter & Rotating rectifer assembly is fixed on
Alternator shaft.
3A. A.V.R. (automatic voltage regulator) is used to
regulate terminal voltage of alternator. Two phases &
neutral is connected for feedback to AVR. F1 & F2 of AVR
asr connected to field of exciter.
4A. Generated ac voltage in exciter is rectified through
Rotary Rectifier Assembly and supplied to Main Field of
Alternator.

working of a diesel generator...

Answer / sudhakar

Diesel generator is the
combination of diesel engine and generator
A shaft of an alternator is driven diesel engine so by using
the diesel operated motor or engine the mechanical input is
given to generator mean the alternator rotor is driven by
using this mechanical energy by using mechanical input the
generator generate the power this is the simple operation of
diesel generator
Diesel generator is working by the
principle of Faradays laws of electromagnetic induction, The
current produced in the alternator is collected by collector
which is connected to the stator
Disel engine is prime mover which
rotates the alternator and alternator generates the
electricity. Further diesel engine works on principle of
carnot cycle, air is compressed in a cylinder, then it is
compressed up to high pressure, disel is injected to this
compressed air
thus combustion takes place, this energy force to move the
piston in the cylindrical passage, piston is further
connected to crank shaft. on the other hand generator works
on principle of electo magnetic induction +919789811732

working of a diesel generator...

Answer / suvrajit mishra

Actually, when the mechanical energy is provided to
alternator placed in a magnetic field rotating magnetic
fields(RMF) are generated to the rotors of generator, which
are cancelled by existing magnetic field, resulting into emf
into the stator finally flowing of current into the stator.

working of a diesel generator...

Answer / rupak kalita

Diesel Generator is a set of engine and alternator.
(Which converts mechanical energy in to electrical energy)
here engine is using for rotating the shaft(prim mover or
crank shaft).
Rotation takes place as fallows:
1)The pistons placed in cylinders and these pistons are
connected to Crank shaft through connecting rads
2)By using diesel as a fuel the blasting takes place in
cylinders, this blasting energy can be converted in to
rotation through piston, connecting and crank shaft
3)this rotor speed strength(should be synchronous
speed)depends on firing order of the cylinders (of course on
number of poles on rotor)
4)this shaft is connected to Alternator rotor
5)this rotor contains poles, this rotor will get the D.C
supply from A.V.R through Exciter (RRA: Rotating Rectifier
assembly, it is a converter bridge)
6)So with rotor(poles) rotation the EMF will induce in main
Stator(Faraday's law of electro magnetic effect)
7)A.V.R out put depends on load effect on D.G.
