as for radar flowmeter depents on electromagnetic radiation
emitted by source and recieved by detector.

its work on sonar principal...
the working principal is.when the ultrasonic wave transmit from the transmitter.its travel down the surface.and reflect back to the transmitter receiver...and calculate the time taken...
it is also called TDR(TIME DOMAIN REFLECTOMETRY)system...
