if : 1 kva=0.8 kw and then: 1 kva/0.8 kw x 1 kw/1.34 hp =1kva=1.072hp
1 kw=1.34 hp
my answer is: there is 1.072 hp in 1 kva

Answer / raybuilders
kVA*pf*1000/746=HP
1hp=746watts
Pf means power factor, it simply mean how efficiently the device uses electricity.for motors-the industry standard is 60% while for other devices it is 80%.
Assuming it's not a motor and the kVA is 1
kVA*pf*1000=1*0.8*1000/746=1.1hp
If is a motor, hence.
1*0.6*1000/746=0.8hp
Regards.

Answer / gd thakur electrical engineer
1 hp is equal to .93 kva since 1 kva is 800 watt and 1 hp is 746 watt considering the power factor .8 generally the power factor considered is 0.8 what the actual kva required are 1.62 kva for 1 hp since starting current needs to be considered for in case of motor during initial torque the motor get connected in star winding during star conection motor draw √3 times more current than full load current

1 HP is equal to 0.75 La
1 HP is 746 Watts ( 100% Machine Load)
So divide 746 Watts by one Kilo Volt Amps
746÷1000 = 0.746 La
