In thermocouple could we use the lug for termination or
not,Thermocouple is any time,I am currently concerned with
K type.please let me know if anybody know

LAW of intermediate metal comes into picture, according to
which resulting temperature will be the algebric sum of all
EMF produced inbetween.
But with LUGs perticularly, the temperature difference will
be very less between so less almost negligible amount of
EMF will be produced. Hence NO HARm.
In order to achieve high accuracy it has been observed that
perticularly in ares where temperatures are TOO HIGH,
LUGing is to be avoided.

The basic principle behind any Thermocouple is that there
are two disimilar material connected at one end that is
called the Hot Junction , and we take our out put from the
other open junction that is the cold junction. But when we
connect a lug there is anather metal thats mean 3 metal and
we ll definitely get a wrong out put and in a high
temperature area or zone this may make a big difference.

Dont see any harm in connecting lug for termination
provided the continuity remains the same i.e there will be
very very less resistance drop if proper connection is not
there with thermocouple wire, lug and the terminals.

We Have Two Field bus Pressure Transmitters of Different Sensor Range (I.E One is of Lower range and Another is of Higher Range). Is same Process Line. My Question is Can i provide Saturation Limit to my field Bus Transmitter as We can provide Saturation current limit to HART Instruments. As During Low Pressure Both Working OK ,But During High Pressure, transmitter with Lower sensor range Goes to Fault mode as Beyond its Sensor Limit it can Measure, So may I provide Saturation point Some where to Suppress This Fault during High Pressure.
