building brick wall and also 20mm thick plaster on the wall
by same ratio?

what would be the rqmnt. of cement and sand (1:6)for building brick wall and also 20mm thick plast..

Answer / p.rambabu

1.approximately we can calculate the requirement of brick
work for 1cum of 1:6 ratio
ans:cement=(1/6)*1440=239.999*0.21=50.399/50=1.007bags/cum.(here
the ratio of 0.21is the approximately dry volume of sand).
2.for 20mm thk plastering calculation,
a.first we can calculate the volume of plastering area,
b.increase it's volume to 20% because of the honeycomb
work& miscellaneous works.
c.multiply this value with dry volume of 1.3.
for 1:6 for 20mm thk of 100sq.m
cement=(1/7)*1.3*2.2=0.408*1440=587.52/50=11.750bags.
