it's proportion for exampal 1:4, the parts of cement 1 and parts of sand 4.
now,
qty of cement per cu.meter from mortar= 1*1/(1+4)=0.2 cu.meter
qty of sand per cu.meter from mortar= 4*1/(1+4)= 0.8 cu.meter

please help me to find a mix design ratio for M40....
