Purity can be perform on the both the instrument HPLC as well as on GC, difference is that the:
1) If material is volatile in nature or can be converted easily in to the gaseous form, purity can be perform on GC, also material should be free from other substantial matters
2)If material is non-volatile, less volatile in nature or in liquid form, purity can be perform on HPLC,

GC has it's own limitations. You cannot analyse non volatile
/ very high boiling point materials on GC. Commonly, If you
are using FID GC, You won't get polymer / inorganic
impurities on your chromatogram.

IN pH CALIBRATION,CALIBRATION IS DONE FOR pH METER OR ELECTRODE?HOW WILL YOU JUDGE THAT THE METER TO BE CALIBRATED WITH 4,7,9.2 BUFFERS?EXPLAIN TEMPERATURE EFFECTS ON pH.
