1.column performance is the column should comply the stated
systemsuitability in case of dedication OR It may satisfies
the common general criterian used for all column while
receiving new column OR Check the performance as per
manufacturer recommendations.
Column Effecience: This is regarding to the therotical
plates which results in the peak sharpness as more the peak
sharp more its 'N' no. of therotial plates as more
efficient column.
2.column performance is the column should comply all types
of fraction be seprated with respective solute and solvent.
and column efficiency is column should comply all plates
be segregate with sharpness.

I test unknown sample gas by GC-SCD (calibrated ) and the result of *H2S is 279 PPM , *but when I test the same sample with the GC-TCD (calibrated ) the value of *H2S is 2500 PPM . I'd like to inform you that both GCs are calibrated and have very good operation conditions with stable parameters . the question is if the sample gas with higher H2S over detection limits of SCD detector (1000 ppm). why the result it 279 ppm Best regards
