Line voltage 440 V means phase voltage 250
v.,400-230,415-240.It depends on voltage rating of 1 phase
appliances used and also of three phase.Generally 230 V
class are used .Allowing for line drop, gen of 415 V line
voltage is preferred.

In an LT pole, the line voltage is 415V. How is it converted to 230V into the house via the service cable?
