Usually R phase is selected.But any phase will do,as phase
sequence is important.The generator does not have fixed
phases.Any phase which when synchronized with the fixed
phase of the system ,becomes that phase.

A 3 phase motor, 440 voltage, induction motor. If we take out rotor from motor and if we give supply 440 volt to stator then what happens?????
