Capacitor is used to maintain power factor & Where as
ignitor is used to ignite the lamp which acts as a sparking
component to ignite the lamp.

In MH lamp capacitor is used for split the phase while
starting time and ignitor is used for ignites the lamp in
starting time.

15 kva dg set single phase takes 63amp( approximate) while same rating 15kva three phase takes 35amp approximate. why ? and what will be per phase current for 15 kva
