can a synchronous motor be made to rotate in a clockwise
direction ?

can a synchronous motor be made to rotate in a clockwise direction ?..

Answer / rakesh

now guys it struck to me while i was solving a question ,
pls help me out . now it is known that the armature mmf in
case of a sync motor is leading the field mmf , hence the
resultant air gap mmf is also leading to field mmf , and
since the rotor mmf (field mmf ) always tries to catch the
air gap mmf the electromagnetic torque in any case will
comeout to be in counterclockwise direction , and possibly
never in a clokwise direction .
