Energy = Power x time
1 unit = 1000 watt x 1 hour
1 Unit = 1 kWh

if we consume 1000 watts one unit is charged.for example if
we use a 40 watt bulb for 25 hours one unit is charged(ie
40*25=1000)

friends it you run 1000w heater unit it shows after one
hour is 1 unit if you connect 2 heater load after 2 hous it
show 2kwh means 2 units on meter no matter it digital or
analoge meter

rotates faster or blinks faster. And unit of power is KW
Kilo Watt.

But energy meter reads KWH Kilo watt hour
