The same way as 3 phase induction motor...
if the slip of the rotor is s w.r.t forward rotating flux
i.e. the one which rotates same as rotor so
N=Ns(1-s)
where n is actual speed
Ns is the synchronous speed

the speed is not decided by the number of phases.It is as
applicable to 3 PH motor

We know that single phase induction motor is not self starting. So rotor remains stationary even after application of supply voltage. But once the motor starts it runs at a speed very close to Synchronous speed.
So speed of single phase induction motor is rated as
n=120f/p
