knee point in a transformer is that equipement using maximum
core flux density.v2=(v1/N1)N2.so if v2 is increased by
means of either N1 or by N2.then V2 will increase.but
generally transformer operates at maximum core flux density.
v2=4.44f(BmAi)N2.so Bm will get more.but it is operating at
maximum value .so core gets saturated.core losses will be
incrased and 3rd order harmonics will be induced.
So knee point voltage is that beyond which core gets saturated.

Hi Ravi teja,
I am confused whether knee point voltage is lesser than the
saturation value or otherwise.
kindly elaborate your answer in a simple language.
