define power quality
Answer / sieai
Power quality can be defined as the degree of any deviation
from the nominal values of the abovementioned
characteristics. It can be also defined as the degree to
which both the utilisation and delivery of electric power
affects the performance of electrical equipment. Draft IEC
61000-4-30 [9] defines power quality as “The characteristics
of the electricity at a given point on an electrical system,
evaluated against a set of reference technical parameters”
(with a Note saying that “these parameters might, in some
cases, relate to the compatibility between electricity
supplied on a network and the loads connected to that network”).
