All electronic equipments require a seperate earthing ,to
avert adverse effect of high voltage surges caused by earth
faults .

I will like to add one more reason, in case the earthing
opens between panel and ground then the fault tend to
divert directly to PLC panel. This in return will blow off
cards in PLC. Thus the earthing is kept different.

Why do we need a separate control desk & PLC control panel in Boiler plant or coal handling plant? Can we provide cost effective Control desk cum PLC panel. Is there is an specific need for control desk.. kindly advice.
Main advantage of auto transformer over two windings transformer is that A it needs no cooling B it uses only one winding C core losses are reduced D it has simple construction
