Noise:It is created by elecric signals
fluctuations,detector instability,temperature
fluctuations,other factors in hplc.
Drift: it is caused while detector heat up in first hour
after power on.

Noise: Short term variation of base line from straight line, this is due detector or dirty mp.
Drift: Long term variation of base line from straight line, due to solvent/ MP absorbence.
