what is the working and construction of generator..

Answer / varun

An electrical generator is a machine wich converts mechanical energy into electrical energy..
This energy conversion is based on the principle of the production of dynamically induced emf.i.e whenever a conductor cuts magnetic flux, dynamically induced emf is induced in it according to faradays laws of electromagnetic induction. This emf causes a cuent to flow if the conductor is closed.

why do motors burn out? I understand why adding parallel loads to a power source means more current moves through the circuit, and can destroy circuit elements by overheating. What about when you have a vaccuum cleaner intake flush against a floor, a room fan sitting directly against a wall, or a power drill trying to drill through something too hard?

Grounding. Dear all at one of my site we checked the amps at the earthing cable to the alternator it was found 125 to 130 A. at the neutal cable in same machine found 146A. in the same plant checked the earthing current on other alternator it was 52A, and neutral 116 A. we are facing problems with our controller and the card was damaged once. can that neutral/GND current be a reason? as there is common grounding for the Alternator,Brkr panel,Transformer?
