what will happen if ac motor given dc supply?
Answer / saravanan.p
In AC motor, The important factor is magnetic field between
stator and rotor. In DC, no flex will come. While the motor
energized by DC, the stator winding will act as a conductor
and produce the heat. Hence winding will get damage and it
will loose the insulation strength.
In rotor side, nothing will happen.
