By using a megger meter you an find out the faulty circuit.
The faulty circuit will have a less resistance as it has
connected to earth somewhere.

to aviode that probelem in furure you can use a ELCB or
RCCB that will help to find and earth the earth fault
current.
that shoud be of 1 Amp. rating.
