Answer / nallakumar
The starting time motor taken high starting current that
star connection is must need after normal running condition
changed to delta connection.

in star connection current is always same in starting and
running period ,so we can use fixed class of insulation
cable, but in case of delta this is not possible due to
changes of current .so all ht motors are conncted in star .

Answer / ankit
In star connection line voltage is root 3 times then that
of phase voltage while in delta line current is root 3
times then that of phase current.
so if we use delta then current will be less than line
current but voltage will be 6.6kv this will led to high
insulation.
if we use star connection then voltage measured will be
line voltage divided by root 3 thus insulation required is
less.

Answer / gajanan
we do not have any xmer having ratio 11/6.6 kv. so for
motor of 6.6 kv in star conneced we can use 11 kv supply.
bcoz in star vline=root 3 of v hase
