How I design capacitor bank for different load.7MW
connected load.
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
the capacitor bank depends on the load type
1. for resistive load no need cap.bank
2.and the cap.bank calculation depends on the Power factor
(for inductive loads 0.8 pf lag)
if u want clear calculation mail me with all load perticulars

the capacitor bank reqired almost 30 persent of full load
(kva) but exectly we must know the desired powerr factor
KVAR = kw/Sin theta
pf= cos theta= desired pf
let 0.99 we require than cos Q = 0.96
Q= Cos inv 0.96
SinQ Will = sin * Q
Kvar = Sin Q* Load

First and foremost, you need to know what is your required
KVAr; then, you can design the capacitor bank to suit with
your required KVAr.
The purpose of designing the capacitor bank is to correct
the power factor to the desired value. By doing so, you can
reduce the loses of power as well as reducing your
electricity bill.
The link below might help you on how to design the power
factor correction and how to design the capacitor bank.
