question.i m not sure please answer me.

in dc machine we know that flux from north pole to south
pole asses through the armature coil.if the armature coil
has other shape than sphere then the flux linkig will not
be uniform throughout the surface,so the emf jeneration
will also nonuniform.again sphere aquires minimum area.
so we use spherical or round armature coil.

What are the protection required for Transformer, motor, Line, Generator, capacitor, that all i have to refer which standard?(Like Transformer detail IS 2026)
