of the circuit breaker.The Anti-pumping relay contact(NC)
has been taken in series to the CB closing circuit.

Anti pumping relay is nothing but it works as a protecting
device for close coil.It protects close coil for instants
operation when close command goes to breaker.Once breaker
get close comand it close but after closing if breaker gets
close command then anti pumping contactor prevents that.

Is a contactor (or master relay) required between incoming lines and a VFD? The question goes to safety. If a contactor were used before the VFD and an e-stop engaged then the motor will coast to a stop (i.e. VFD loses power) instead of stopping much faster if the VFD braking fucntion were used. It would make more sense to keep power on the VFD.
