Motor current rating is calculated by using the formula
I= P/1.73*V*PF

Normany it is 1.8times of power of the motor will be their
in 420v 3 phase motor.

Ex: 500Kv HT motor 11kv voltage
is Approx. 32A is the rated current.
so 32.5 or 33A is OL Setting.

we have 400kv/6.6kv transformer ,it has total 9 taps on HV side with normal tap on tap no 5.when we took the ratio test we observed that ratio was decreasing from tap 1 to tap 5 and was found increasing from tap 5 to tap 9.What is the reason?if anyone have related document then please send me on the email id ankushbahale@gmail.com......plz plz

dear all, in motor operation , motor is of 100 hp and bimetal relay setting is 130 amp, if relay is getting tripped on 120 amp balance current what can be the reason? Relay is newly replaced. I dont know but is there any frequency effect in thit case? Can frequency variation affect bimetal relay operation?
