solenoid valve has coil wounded over a plunger acts as a
valve if directly mounted.otherwise it is used with a
manifold to open to open and close the valve.
principle:
when the supply is given to SOV,the coil energies and moves
the plunger towards it.therefore it opens the path.

Answer / gk
in solenoid valve there is a hollow spindle in which
plunger moves whenever the supply given to coil, magnetic
field generates and the plunger will move towards the
magnetic field, the coil which mounts on the spindle of the
valve that supply may be 220 v ac or 24v dc.and also we can
check soenoid valve by manually by twist the screw.

In oil & gas industries and petrochemical industries, there are classification of zones like zone 0, zone 1, zone 2. Is there any differences in voltages or power supply supplied for the process instruments, control instruments depending on the zones

How to Calibrate variable Head flowmeter (Orifice), here we dont know High pressure and low pressure then how to apply pressure on HP and LP side ?
Single acting ON-OFF valve. it is air to open. when sov energized , valve will be open, so during that if air fail then what will be the condition of valve ( open or close ) ???
why we use 0.2 to 1.0 kg/cm2 output in control valve
How to O2 analyzer works?
During valve sizing from all calculation you got flow coefficient CV 12,than what it means? like for selecting pressure transmitter if your MAWP is 12 bar than you select a capsule of max. 20 bar which cover your mawp 12 in same way for selecting control valve If CV is 12 than how we use it in selecting valve??????
