we can find the two valves on the inlet of feed water.
feed check valve--this valve is used to regulate the supply
of feed water and it is non-return valve

feed stop valve--this valve is used to stop feed water.if
we want to work on pump or above said check valve this
valve shd be closed.but it should not be closed if pump is
working.this valve is equipped before the check valve

In Rankine cycle there is a concept of Tm(mean temp of heat addition)For calculating the efficiency of the cycle we generally use n=1-T2/T1 again Tm taking into consideration we get n=1-T2/Tm as T1>Tm so he efficiency will be different for same cycle. Can anybody explain how is it possible? advance appriciation for your effort
