what is transformer..

Answer / c.satheeshkumar

1.The EMF predicted by Faraday's law is also responsible
for electrical transformers. When the electric current in a
loop of wire changes, the changing current creates a
changing magnetic field. A second wire in reach of this
magnetic field will experience this change in magnetic
field as a change in its coupled magnetic flux, a d ΦB /d
t. Therefore, an electromotive force is set up in the
second loop called the induced EMF or transformer EMF. If
the two ends of this loop are connected through an
electrical load, current will flow.
2.A transformer is a device that transfers electrical
energy from one circuit to another through inductively
coupled conductors—the transformer's coils. A varying
current in the first or primary winding creates a varying
magnetic flux in the transformer's core, and thus a varying
magnetic field through the secondary winding. This varying
magnetic field induces a varying electromotive force (EMF)
or "voltage" in the secondary winding. This effect is
called mutual induction.

what is transformer..

Answer / prakash agnihotri

transformer is a electrical static device, which works on
mutual induction principle.it have two electrical windings
that primary and socondary winding.which winding directly
connected with main supply, called primary winding and that
winding connected with the load , called secondary winding.
we can take step up or step down the given voltage without
change in frequency.
