what type of loads are inductive load & resistive load ?how
they different between each other ?

Answer / amarnath
Loads like Motor, Fan, Mixer/grinder, Washing machine which
requires more power supply for starting are called
inductive loads. Resistive loads are appliances which does
not require more power supply for starting say for ex:-
bulb, TV, Audio system, CFL etc.

Resisitive loads are those loads that generate no magnetic field, as well as converts current to the form of heat. In this case, the current and voltage line up and are in phase at an angle 0°. They absorb apparent power, P= IVcos theta.
Example include: toasters, mixers/grinders, incandescent bulbs, coffee-makers, ovens, heaters, etc.
Inductive loads are loads that generate magnetic field, possess moving parts, coils/motors, and absorb active power from the sustem, I.e P=IV.
Ex: fans, refrigerators, motors, washing-machines(even though laced with capacitors to improve the pf), vacuum cleaners, etc.
They cost the power system because of their reverse polarity mechanism when power is cut off.

but current lag voltage by some angle and hence amplitude of current increases and and actual power i.e apperant power (v*i) also increases.due to inductive load
