what will happen if a part of primary winding of a transformer is accidentally short-circuited?..

Answer / ankit sinha

when a part of primary winding of a transformer is short
cktd the v1 reduced,so the v2 will also be reduced by the
same factor.this will be cleared by the relation-
v1/v2=n1/n2
since n1 and n2 are remain same,v2 should be reduced
inorder to maintain the ratio same.

what will happen if a part of primary winding of a transformer is accidentally short-circuited?..

Answer / abhishek singh

IN XMER WE KNOW THAT V2/V1=N2/N1.SO WHEN PRIMARY PART OF
XMER IS SHORTED THEN THERE IS NO INDUSED EMF IS PRODUSED IN
IT MEANS E1 AND DU TO THIS NO ANY FLUX IS PRODUSED.SO XMER
DOES NOT ABLE TO TRANSFORM ELECTRRICAL ENERGY TO ANOTHER
CKT .SO IT DOES NOT WORK FOR WHICH IT IS USED.
