Slipring motor consists wound rotor where as the cage motor
is consists rotor bars connected at ends to form a shape of
squirrel cage.

slip ring induction motor and squirrel IM stator both are
same but difference of their rotor circuit slip ring IM
rotor circuit is semi close type. so we are using resistar
in this circuit and give us speed control by rotor
resistance starter.
