when it is open circuited in secondary it can be considered
as a load which simply takes power which is equivalent to
the iron loss in the primary which is almost negligible in
short circuited conditions.

A transformer is a link between source and load. as such
it cannot be used as load

why current transformer secondary is short circuited an what will happen if connect very high resistance acrossthe secondary side of current transformer?
