Active immunity develops slowly,it's long lasting & often
gives protection for many years, naturally stimulated by
clinical or sub clinical infection & artificially by
vaccines.
Passive immunity is relatively slow & short lived &
protection is lost within two or three weeks.Passive
immunity naturally acquired from mother to baby &
artificially produced by serum.

challange is more effective.
6-Not applicable in immunodeficient person.
Passive-Pecieved passively by the host.
2-Conffered by administration of ready-made antibodies.
3-Protection short lived & less effective.
4-Immunity is effective immediatly.
5-No immunological memory.Subsequent administration of
antibody is less effective due to immune elimination.

in simple words passive immunity is when you acquire immunity against a certain pathogen, disease, or condition without having your body exposed to the pathogen, disease, or condition. A good example is the baby acquiring passive immunity against common cold viruses by breast feeding. And another example is getting Anti-rabies shot after being bitten by a rabies-infected dog.
While active immunity on the other hand is acquiring immunity through exposure to the antigen(a molecule that stimulates an immune response). In which the body will have to develop the immunity it self by producing antibodies. However unlike passive immunity, this will take time.... But is usually permanent...:) An example of active immunity is acquiring immunity againt Chicken Pox after experiencing one episode.

Active immunity is a form of immunity that develops after a primary immune response which is a response to exposure to a live pathogen and development of symtoms. The cells produce the antibodies themselves.
Passive immunity is a form of immunity in which a person's cells do not produce the antibodies, they receive them by an injection of antibodies or antitoxin.
