What is the difference between active immunity and passive
immunity?

Active immunity develops slowly,it's long lasting & often
gives protection for many years,naturally stimulated by
clinical or sub clinical infection & artificially by
vaccines.
Passive immunity is relatively slow & short lived &
protection is lost within two or three weeks.Passive
immunity naturally acquired from mother to baby &
artificially produced by serum.
